Masked Robber Holds Up Dollar Store At Gunpoint
Masked robber makes off with undisclosed amount of money after holding Family Dollar in Burbank, cops say.

BURBANK, IL -- An armed robber held up a Burbank dollar store early Sunday evening, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No injuries were reported.
Officers were called to Family Dollar, 6010 W. 87th St., Burbank, around 6:50 p.m. for a report of a robbery that had just happened. Employees told police that a man wearing a black knit ski mask walked into the store and displayed a handgun with a brown handle. Police said the masked robber demanded money in the cash register. The employee handed over the cash and the man fled the store. He was last seen running southwest from the store.
The suspect is described as a male black, between 6 feet and 6-feet-2-inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and black knit ski mask, along with black jogging pants and a blue shirt under his jacket. Burbank police and an Illinois State Police officer and K9 partner combed the area but didn’t find the purported robber.
