Mass For Those Suffering From Addiction Offered Wednesday At St. Linus

A special Mass of healing will be offered for persons suffering from addiction Wednesday, Nov. 22, at St. Linus Church in Oak Lawn.

OAK LAWN, IL — A special Mass of Healing for Those Suffering From Addiction will be hosted by Our Lady of the Ridge-St. Linus Parish Wednesday, Nov. 22. The Mass starts at 7 p.m. at the St. Linus Church worship site in Oak Lawn, 10300 Lawler Ave.

The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, also known at Blackout Wednesday, can be one of the biggest binge drinking nights of the year.

Fr. Ryan Brady, associate pastor of the parish, will preside over the Mass, which is in its third year. Brady is a recovering alcoholic, and he will share his personal journey of recovery during his homily.
