MasterChef Junior Holds Open Casting Call for Chicago Kids

Does your child have a passion for cooking? MasterChef Junior will be holding an open casting call Jan. 13, 2018 at Sofitel Chicago​.

Is your child a whiz in the kitchen? FOX’s No. 1 hit show, MasterChef Junior, is on a nationwide talent search for the most talented cooks between the ages of 8 and 13. The MasterChef Junior production team is going to be in Chicago in January casting for Season 7. If you know any kids who are into cooking, send their parents to MasterChef Junior Casting to complete an application and register their child for the open casting call.

MasterChef Junior will be casting kids who have a passion for cooking, potential and personality from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 13, 2018 at Sofitel Chicago, 20 E. Chestnut St., Chicago. The show is looking for kids of all skill levels in the kitchen, so don’t be discouraged by what you see on TV. Here’s how your child can audition for MasterChef Junior:

  • STEP 1: You must PRE-REGISTER your child’s profile for the Chicago audition.
  • STEP 2: Attend an OPEN CALL with your child (you must pre-register for your child). Please bring the following with you to the open call: Your child’s completed application. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION, which must be signed by both parents or guardian(s); and an apron of your child’s choice.
  • Children attending the audition MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.

If you can’t make the Jan. 13 open casting call in Chicago, parents or guardians can also complete an application and submit a video by Jan. 20, 2018 -- although physically attending an open casting call is the PREFERRED OPTION.These casting calls are a lot of fun and very lighthearted.
