OAK LAWN, IL — Seniors at an Oak Lawn memory care community helped make holiday meals possible for local families. The residents at Grace Point Place, an Anthem Memory Care community, packed 12 boxes for the Thanksgiving food collection for Roseland Christian Ministry Center. Items included Thanksgiving favorites as well as personal necessities.

“Our residents have been involved in community service throughout their lives and dementia doesn’t diminish their desire to help others, said Shannon Dahlman, community relations director for Grace Point Place. “It’s especially important to be a part of this effort now during this time of increased food insecurity due to the pandemic.”

Grace Point Place is located at 5701 W. 101st St., Oak Lawn.
