Mighty Macs Celebrate College Signing Day

Mother McAuley seniors commit to playing their respective sports at the collegiate level.

Eight seniors from Mother McAuley Liberal Arts Academy committed to continue playing their respective sports at the collegiate level.

Softball standouts Kara Bischoff will join the Titans at Illinois Wesleyan University and Molly Murphy, both of Mt. Greenwood, will join the Cardinal Stritch University Wolves. Teammate Alison Alberts, or (Evergreen Park, will join the Belles at Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame.

The Mighty Mac water polo team will send three of its seniors on to college teams. Goalie Geena Peyton, of Morgan Park, will attend George Washington University, Maggie Hennigan, also of Morgan Park, has signed on to Carthage College. Julia Olivares, of New City, will attend St. Francis College.

In track and field, Alexandria Bryan, of Chicago Lawn, will continue the sport at Western Michigan University next year. Teammate Ashley Canner, of Crestwood, will join the Lake Forest College team next year.
