New Escape Room Offers Nail Biting Adventure

Oak Lawn's Mass Exodus Adventures adds second escape room.

OAK LAWN, IL -- A new escape room is hitting the south suburbs. “The Boss’s Office” is accepting bookings now at Mass Exodus Adventures in Oak Lawn.

Meet Mr. O'Henry, the boss you love to hate. He has been a no-show at work for the past two weeks. Any work day without Mr. O’Henry is a good one, but now it’s payday, and the direct deposits have not hit the bank. Rumors of his shady accounting practices are starting to circulate. Your colleagues have hatched a plan to get into Mr. O’Henry’s office and search for their hard-earned money. Escapists only have an hour to join the group, find the boss and get their pay.

Mass Exodus Adventures opened their first escape room last November at 9206 S. Keating Ave. in Oak Lawn. The Revelation Room offers escapists the chance to find a first-century letter with an end-times prophecy stolen by Doomsday fanatics. Teams have just an hour to find the letter in time.

“We’re so grateful for the support from our community and the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. Nearby businesses and teams of families and friends have found Mass Exodus to be an exciting, group outing,” said owner Natasha Williams. .”The hour that people spend together trying to ‘escape a room’ is nail-biting but hilarious. We can’t wait to see our guests in Mr. O’Henry’s office.”

The escape room has also recently expanded its hours to accommodate the growing number of reservations. Social and corporate groups of two to eight participants are invited to test their mental chops by deciphering codes and solving puzzles to “escape” a room in 60 minutes. Part brain-game and part treasure hunt, players employ diverse mental and physical abilities to complete the missions.
