New Advocate Outpatient Rehab Clinic Opens in Oak Lawn

OAK LAWN, IL — Advocate Rehabilitation Service’s new outpatient rehab clinic is now open and serving patients on Chicago South Side and south suburbs.

The new facility, located at 10201 S. Cicero Ave., Suite A in Oak Lawn, provides 7,500 square-feet of space for physical therapy, occupational therapy and specialized programs in orthopedics, sports medicine, spine disorders and hand therapy.

The center, which opened Sept. 7, increases patient capacity within Advocate Christ Medical Center's service area by 125 percent, allowing therapists to serve an additional 2,500 patients a year. The location has room for 17 therapists to serve patients.

The new space will allow Southland patients to receive top-quality, compassionate care in a spacious, inviting setting where therapists can deliver personalized attention and treatment.

The new facility has patient rooms for one-on-one treatment and multiple open spaces for therapy and exercises using state-of-the art equipment. The glass-windowed exterior of the main therapy space allows patients to receive care while enjoying natural light.

All Advocate Christ Medical Center's orthopedic therapists will operate out of the new facility. Neurological therapists will work out of the Outpatient Pavilion at medical center. Oncology patients will also be seen at the OPP.

“The opening of this clinic doesn’t just mean an increase in capacity for our orthopedic patients, but we also are adding a designated Neuro Rehab Center of Excellence to the seventh floor of the OPP,” said Lindsey Hack, Executive Director of Rehabilitation Services. “This community deserves unparalleled access to differentiated clinics with providers who have specialized in their area of concern. Now, they have them.”

In addition to the new rehabilitation center and the OPP, patients can also receive rehabilitation services at the Christ Physician Office Building. Outpatient rehabilitation services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and specialized programs such as women’s pelvic health therapy, oncology and lymphedema therapy, pregnancy and postpartum rehab and more.
