Nothing Bundt Cakes Brings Sweet Smell of Success to Stony Creek Promenade
Unique cake bakery specializing in decadent bundt cakes celebrates grand opening at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue, Dec. 3-5.

Las Vegas-based franchisee Nothing Bundt Cakes is opening its 188th store at Stony Creek Promenade this week at 111th Street and Cicero Avenue.
The unique cake bakery will specialize in those funny-looking cakes with the big hole in the middle.
Nothing Bundt Cakes will open at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce.

From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, the bakery is donating 20-percent of all sales to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
Be one of the first 50 guests in line at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, and receive will free miniature Bundtlets for a year (one Bundtlet per month). Nothing Bundt Cakes also has a whole slew of activities planned from noon to 2 p.m. to celebrate grand opening week, including balloon twisting and face-painting for the kiddos. Guests can also sample some of the bakery’s delicious Bundtlet cakes.

Nothing Bundt Cakes started as a kitchen operation by founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, who made cakes to entertain their families and friends. By 1997, the two women joined forces -- and kitchens -- to form Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The bakery offers sizes from bite-sized bundtinis to eight-inch tiered cakes, in nine different flavors, including red velvet, chocolate chip, lemon, marble, pecan praline, carrot, white white chocolate, cinnamon swirl and white chocolate raspberry.
For a limited time, Nothing Bundt Cakes will offer a gingerbread bundt for the holiday season.
Nothing Bundt Cakes is known for its signature thick cream cheese petals that adorn each cake. the bakery will also custom decorate the cakes for special occasions. All cakes are made with the freshest ingredients -- fresh eggs, real butter, and real cream cheese -- for a truly decadent taste.
The Stony Creek Promenade location at 10912 S. Cicero Ave., Oak Lawn, is owned and operated by franchisees Jeffrey Reynolds and Ryan Devlin.
Nothing Bundt Cakes is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The cake bakery will also be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24. (The bakery will be closed Christmas Day.) Online ordering is available.
