Oak Lawn Baseball Presents Check To CFD Juan Bucio’s Sons

"It's just our way of showing the Bucio family, that we as a baseball family, are always here and care for Juan's boys."

OAK LAWN, IL -- Oak Lawn Baseball presented a check to the family of fallen Chicago firefighter Juan Bucio, who died during a water rescue attempt last month. The late firefighter’s sons Joshua, 10, and Jacob, 9, both play in the youth league. The money was donated by all the families of Oak Lawn Baseball.

“It is our way to show the Bucio family that we, as a baseball family, are always here and care for Juan’s boys,” said league parent Julie Oglesby.

A check for $3,250 was presented to the Bucio family before Saturday’s games. Chicago firefighters also came to help Joshua and Jacob warm up for their games.
