Oak Lawn Chamber Annual Golf Outing

OAK LAWN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HOLDS SUCCESSFUL GOLF OUTING

On Wednesday, July 10th, the Chamber held its annual Golf Outing which is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser. Our sincere thank you to this year’s Major Sponsor, Oak Lawn Bank and Trust. Ninety-Eight golfers came out to enjoy the links at Stony Creek Golf Course.

The day began with a BBQ lunch and music sponsored by Oak Lawn Public Library, Park Lawn and Providence Bank followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 PM, Our cart sponsor this year was Marcari’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM. On the course, golfers were treated to three “watering holes” courtesy of Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn, Kerlin-Walsh Law, ServPro of Oak Lawn and. After an extremely hot but beautiful day on the course, golfers came inside for dinner that was sponsored by the Don Murphy Agency, Inc., American Family Insurance.

The Chamber received overwhelming support from Chamber members and many Oak Lawn businesses in the form of sponsorships, products and gift certificates. We had 51 Hole Sponsors this year which gave the sponsors a great opportunity to network with each and every golfer.

The winners of golf with the Low Gross score were Bill Les, Steve Loulousis, Cory Lepeak and Guest representing Les Brothers Restaurant. The winners with the Low Net score were Greg Greiman, Randy Chapple, Ken Lindegorg, and Steve Wertzbaugher representing Hayes Local Marketing. Each foursome was awarded a traveling trophy and a gift certificate to Stony Creek Golf Course.

Golfers also enjoyed the chance to try their luck at one of two raffles. More than 40 raffle baskets lined the tables, including liquor baskets, picnic gear, golf items, gift certificates and more.
