Oak Lawn Eagles Soar To Special Olympics Gold, Next Stop State

OAK LAWN, IL — The Oak Lawn Park District’s Special Recreation Department basketball team are heading to the state championships. The Oak Lawn Eagles 3 team dominated the court in the Special Olympics Region E basketball tournament at Richards High School last month, winning themselves a gold medal.

This first place finish qualifies the team to attend the Special Olympics Illinois State Championship in Bloomington-Normal on March 13 to March 15. Congratulations and good luck at state, Eagles.
