Oak Lawn Earth Day Faire Kicks Off Saturday
Oak Lawn Park District hosts the eleventh annual Earth Day Faire Saturday, April 28, at the Oak View Center.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day with the Oak Lawn Park District and Village of Oak Lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28. Given the event’s past record of cold and rainy Earth Day Faires, the earthy bash will be held in a brand new venue at the Oak View Center, 4625 W. 110th St.
This year’s theme is Citizen Science Projects. The faire offers a variety of family-fun activities, including Jim Nesci’s Cold Blooded Creatures, Big Run Wolf Ranch, tree climbing, kids crafts, scavenger hunt, education on green living, gardening and composting, a milkweed plant sale, and more. FREE admission, raffles and giveaways. The scavenger hunt will take place after the reptile show. Participate and have a chance to win a prize.
Earth Day is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. For more information, please contact the inimitable Dolly Foster at 708-857-2201.
