Oak Lawn Elks Perform Random Acts Of Kindness

OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Elks Lodge 2254 donated Girl Scout cookies to first responders and active military and distributed school backpacks to students in need during the month of August.

The lodge received a donation of 200 cases of cookies from the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana through its Gift of Caring program.

Elks Club members held its annual backpack and school supplies program in August. The backpacks were stuffed with school supplies and given to 130 students in need. The backpack program was funded by a grant from the Elks National Foundation. The supplies were donated to the COURAGE program at Our Lady at St. Germaine in Oak Lawn.
