See artifacts, pictures and awards!

Stop by the Oak Lawn Public Library, 9427 S. Raymond Ave and help us celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Oak Lawn Garden Club. Founded as an “Iris Club” in 1954, the Oak Lawn Garden Club was officially chartered in 1956. From the beginning they have played an active role in Village life, including the completion of numerous beautification projects for Advocate Christ Medical Center, the Library, parks and other locations. In addition popular events such as Christmas gatherings, plant sales, picnics, yard contests and the annual garden walk help bring residents together. Today the Oak Lawn Garden Club, a member of the Garden Clubs of Illinois and National Garden Clubs organizations, continues to play an important part in the Village by highlighting its natural beauty and fostering community pride.
