Oak Lawn HS Names Chris Gallagher "Spartan Athlete Of The Week"

Each week the Athletic Department selects a Spartan Athlete of the Week. The recipient for the week of September 23 is quarterback Chris Gallagher of the football team.

After being rained out on Friday night last week, the Spartan football team was forced to come back and play their homecoming game on Saturday morning. And Gallagher took matters into his own hands in the daylight and led the team to victory over Argo. In all, he scored four rushing touchdowns. He had runs of 6 yards, 6 yards, 4 yards and 46 yards. It was the Spartans’ first win of the season.

Other nominees for Spartan Athlete of the Week included Fey Rangel (Girls Volleyball), Damian Komperda (Boys Soccer), Sude Cebi, Lillian Featherstone, Elizabeth Featherstone and Rylee Gallagher (Girls Swim), Iman Khater (Girls Tennis), and Abby Cafagna (Girls Cross Country).
