Oak Lawn Library Goes ‘Fine Free’
Patrons of the Oak Lawn Public Library will no longer be fined when returning overdue items.

OAK LAWN, IL — The Oak Lawn Public Library, 9427 S. Raymond Ave., has officially become a fine-free library. If patrons return an item after the due date, the library will not apply overdue fines to their accounts.
After a item is 14 days overdue, patrons’ accounts will be frozen until they return the item in good condition or pay for the lost item. The library wants patron to return items on time, but patrons won’t have t worry about beig penalized for returning items a few days late.
