Oak Lawn Man Accused of Purposely Running Someone Over Out on I-Bond
"I think the downtown judges are a little too lenient," suburban judge says.

Alsip, IL -- A 23-year-old Oak Lawn man was arrested after he intentionally ran over a person over in Alsip, police said.
Ryan Cusack, 23, was charged with reckless driving, aggravated battery with a vehicle and criminal damage to property.

Cusack was in court Thursday requesting a hearing so he could obtain an attorney.
According to the charges, Cusack aimed his vehicle at another person and drove across three lawns around 5 p.m. April 29 in the 12200 block of South Lawndale, Alsip.The individual suffered a broken collar bone and lumbar and head injuries.

The prosecutor said the injured person refused medical treatment at the scene, but later showed up at a hospital.
The injured person reportedly flew into the air and landed on the hood of Cusack’s car.
Cusack appeared in bond court over the weekend at the Leighton Criminal Court building where he was released on a $70,000 I-bond and placed on electronic home monitoring. He was also ordered to turn in any firearms and to stay away from the alleged victim.
“I would have set your bail a lot higher,” Cook County Judge Peter Felice said. “I think the downtown judges are a little too lenient.”
Cusack’s next court hearing is May 27.
