Oak Lawn Man Accused Of Trying To Meet Teen Boy For Sex

Will County police say David Anderson traveled to meet someone he thought was a 13-year-old boy but was met by a detective instead.

CREST HILL, IL - Police in Will County have accused an Oak Lawn man of making a 50-minute drive to southwest suburban Crest Hill to meet who he thought was a 13-year-old boy. David H. Anderson, who has a listed address in the 11000 block of South Kenneth Avenue in Oak Lawn, has been charged with traveling to meet a minor, indecent solicitation of a child and unlawful grooming, according to a report from the Joliet Patch.

Detectives say Anderson arranged to meet who he thought was a minor boy at a McDonald's restaurant in Crest Hill. Instead, court records show he encountered a Will County Sheriff's detective and was taken away in handcuffs on July 7.

Anderson is accused of using his computer's online services to solicit a person he believed to be a 13-year-old boy for the purposes of committing sexual abuse. Online communications between the Will County police detective that Anderson thought to be a 13-year-old boy began around Jan. 12 and lasted through July 6, court records indicate.
