Oak Lawn Parks Suffer Tree Damage, Closures
The Oak Lawn Park District is assessing tree and branch damage in parks while some facilities are closed due to tree damage.
OAK LAWN, IL—Due to last night’s tornado-warned storm, some Oak Lawn Park District facilities will not open on Friday, June 12.
Oak Lawn parks are experiencing extensive tree and branch damage. Staff is actively assessing all park locations and clearing debris for the next several days.
If you were planning to take a dip at Central or Centennial Park pools, both are scheduled to open at 12:30 p.m. Friday. In addition:

- Menard Center will remain closed due to a power outage
- Stony Creek Restaurant is closed due to a power outage
- Stony Creek Golf Course allowing walking golf during the power outage.
- Memorial Splash Pad and Memorial Activity Center are closed due to power outages
- Currently, Centennial Aquatic Center and Central Pool are both scheduled to open at 12:30 p.m.
