Oak Lawn Police Issue 154 Tickets During Halloween Enforcement

OAK LAWN, IL – The Oak Lawn Police Department released enforcement numbers for Halloween. Police stepped up efforts to patrol village roadways for impaired and distracted drivers.

Officers issued the following citations during the recent Halloween enforcement effort:

• 111 seat belt and child safety seat citations
• 4 suspended driver’s licenses, and
• 39 miscellaneous violations

The enforcement campaign took place from Oct. 16 through Nov. 1. Extra emphasis was placed on enforcement during late-night hours, when statistics show the most unbuckled and impaired driving fatalities occur.
