OL Raiders SAC Kicks Off '50 Years Of Snow Much Fun' Winter Picnic Sunday At Homestead

OAK LAWN, IL — Put on your cargo shorts and head out to the Oak Lawn Raiders SAC’s annual
Winter Picnic this Sunday, Feb. 15, when the temperature is projected to be a balmy 52 degrees. The winter frolic gets going from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Homestead Barr, 9306 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn (93rd Street and Central Avenue).

“50 Years of Snow Much Fun” will be held in a heated tent on the grounds of the bar. Food, drink, music, raffles, a DJ are featured. There will be a split-the-pot raffle and the traditional wheelbarrow full o’ liquor.

Share a shot ski with your closest friends. Jello shots and other adult beverages will be available.

A $30 donation gets you in the tent. Proceeds will be distributed to local charities.

Famous for carrying a 50-by-100-foot American flag in Oak Lawn’s Independence Day Parade, the Oak Lawn Raiders SAC has been helping local individuals and families facing financial difficulties, and other civic projects for 50 years. A lot of the members have been together since high school.
