As many have begun to notice, plant-based menu options like the impossible burger at Burger King, are trending right now and something that many local restaurants are offering. Arbor Food Services, District 123’s food service vendor wanted to be sure that plant based vegetarian options are available to students during the school day as well.

We will be adding dr. Praeger’s plant based vegetarian options to the daily menu starting in January for the Jr. High / Middle School menus only. We are rotating 5 different vegetarian plant-based menu entrees within the 5-day weekly rotating cycle, as well as offering the veggie burger daily, said Pamella Maes, District Manager for Arbor Food Service.
