Senior Angel Lopez Owns The 500-Yard Freestyle For Varsity Oak Lawn Boys Swim Team

OAK LAWN, IL—Every time Oak Lawn Community High School senior Angel Lopez swam in the 500-yard freestyle event this year, he gave it his all. And every time, he seemed to set a new personal best time. Next year he will continue to do it at the collegiate level.

“Angel has been a dedicated member of the swim team, joining us for all four years,” OLCHS head coach Derek Maciaga said. “This year he earned a spot on the varsity roster. He brings energy and vocal leadership to practices and meets. Angel has owned the 500-yard freestyle. He has committed to swimming for Carthage College next year.”
