Oak Lawn Sophomore Earns Medal In Tough Girls Badminton Invitational
Off-season workouts paid off for Gabby Bednarczyk who leads Oak Lawn Community High School varsity girls badminton in singles wins.

OAK LAWN, IL — Once again, the efforts in offseason workouts pays off for an athlete at Oak Lawn Community High School. This time it is sophomore Gabby Bednarczyk, who used the offseason to prepare for her second season on varsity badminton.
Bednarczyk concentrated on improving her skills, and now she is leading the Spartans in singles wins. In fact, her confidence really grew when she recently earned a medal at the tough Lockport Invitational.
“Gabby is always willing to learn and improve even during the offseason,” head coach Eliana LaSpina said. “She has a bright future, and we look forward to seeing what she accomplishes.”
