Oak Lawn Southpaw Soph Ethan Collins Powers Up For Big Week
The left-hander threw a no-hitter and blasted a home run in a victory over South Suburban Conference Red opponent Argo High School.

OAK LAWN, IL — For a sophomore pitcher hitting in the middle of the lineup on the Oak Lawn Community High School baseball team, there is a lot of pressure to deliver at the plate and on the mound. Last week, Ethan Collins met those expectations and more. And now he deserves a bit of the spotlight.
The left-hander threw a no-hitter and blasted a home run in a victory over South Suburban Conference Red opponent Argo. He followed that performance with another homer later in the week as the Spartans completed the season sweep of the Argonauts. Finally, he capped off his huge week with an RBI in a win against non-conference foe Morton.
The Spartans have opened the conference season with a 4-0 record.
