Oak Lawn Spartan Soph Swimmer Sparks Relay Team To Set School Record
Oak Lawn Community High School's Alessandra Gabriel keeps her teammates motivated even when it is a tough set with her positive attitude.

OAK LAWN, IL — The goal for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls swim team is to drop times and peak at the right time. In order to do that, it takes dedication in the pool, a good attitude, and the right mindset. Sophomore Alessandra Gabriel takes all of that to heart and recently helped her frosh/soph relay team break a school record.
“Alie has been working on developing leadership skills this year,” said OLCHS head coach Alexandra Woehlert. “She will encourage her teammates to be on time, stay in the water for the whole practice, and to attend all practices.
“Alie is always up and cheering for her teammates and making sure the rest of the team is cheering as well. She helps keep her fellow teammates motivated even when it is a tough set and is constantly keeping a positive attitude. We are excited to see how she does at the South Suburban Conference Red meet and in the Illinois High School Association Sectional meet.”
