Oak Lawn Spartan 'V' Strikes With Precision In Girls Soccer
Victoria Gallardo or 'V,' brings work ethic, leadership and a positive attitude to Oak Lawn Community High School girls soccer.

OAK LAWN, IL — Work ethic, leadership, and a positive attitude are three descriptors that any coach would like to use in describing a top player. Victoria Gallardo is all of that and more for the Oak Lawn Community High School girls soccer team.
She enters every game and practice with a positive attitude, she works hard in games and practices, and she strikes with precision on offense. She is a leader and motivates her fellow Spartans to come along for the ride to victory. All of this has head coach John Faro singing her praises.
“Victoria, or ‘V’ as we know her on the team, is a three-year player who has shown tremendous growth on the soccer field,” Faro said. “She’s one of our natural leaders, and all our players look up to her.
“She has a positive attitude and a good work ethic. As one of our strikers, she is tasked with challenging the opponent’s defense. She is a vocal leader on the field, and she is a team player. We are proud of how she motivates her teammates and holds them to a high level of accountability. She already has plans to pursue soccer when she is studying general management at the University of Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind., next year.”
