Dash, Crawl, Race In OLCHS Project Fire Buddies Field Day Fundraiser
Kids ages 5-11 can run, dash and crawl for a Project Fire Buddies fundraiser Saturday, May 10, at Oak Lawn Community High School.
OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn Community High School students are hosting a field day fundraiser Saturday, May 10, for Project Fire Buddies. The field day runs from 1 to 3 p.m. on the Spartan football field, 9400 Southwest Highway, and is open to all area children.
Kids ages 5 through 11 can register online at OLCHS Project Fire Buddies for $5. Day-of-event registration will also be available. The cost is $5. Parents are free.

1 p.m. - Sack race
1:15 p.m. - Army crawl race
1:30 p.m. - 50-yard dash
1:45 p.m. - Three-Legged Race
2 p.m. - Dress Up Relays
2:15 p.m. - Soccer relay
2:30 p.m. - Spoon race
Last year, students raised $500 for Project Fire Buddies, where local firefighters build bonds with critically ill children through visits, gifts and companionship. They’d like to get more kids.
