Oak Lawn Teen Receives Prestigious Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship
Marist senior Daniel Brennan received a prestigious four-year Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship.

CHICAGO, IL -- An Oak Lawn teen has received the prestigious Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship. Daniel Brennan, a senior at Marist High School, has caddied at Beverly Country Club for five years. The Chick Evans scholarship provides full tuition and college housing for golf caddies, and is renewable for up to four years.
Brennan is a graduate of St. Catherine of Alexandria. He is a 2018 Illinois State Scholar. Along with carrying a challenging honors and Advanced Placement course load, Brennan has served as a basketball team manager and student ambassador officer. He participated in the Kairos retreat program, academic team, the mission trip program, National Honor Society, soccer, and volleyball. His final college decision has not been made. Brennan is deciding between Indiana University, Ohio State University or Marquette University. He has been accepted to the business schools at each and plans to major in finance.
Marist High School has 177 Chick Evans Scholars in its school history.To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, all applicants must have a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need, and outstanding character. Applicants are evaluated and compete on the above criteria for the limited number of awards given annually.
