OLCHS Jacob Rodriguez Puts Together Impressive Sophomore JV Wrestling Season

OAK LAWN, IL—Jacob Rodriguez faced challenges, overcame obstacles, and put together an impressive sophomore wrestling season for Oak Lawn Community High School on the junior varsity level. It culminated in a first-place finish at the JV South Suburban Conference Red meet last week.

“Throughout the year, Jacob stepped into tough matches when the team needed him most and never backed down from a challenge,” OLCHS head coach David Early said. “His commitment during the offseason and daily dedication in the wrestling room paid off in a big way. That championship was a direct result of the discipline and the effort he’s put in all year long. Jacob continues to grow as a competitor and represent Oak Lawn wrestling the right way. The future is bright for him.”
