OLCHS Volleyball Ace Alli Yacko Named "Athlete of the Week
Junior Alli Yako led Spartan volleyball team in kills, digs and aces in recent Spartan tournament.

OAK LAWN, IL -- Alli Yacko has been named Oak Lawn Community High School’s “Athlete of the Week.” Yacko led the OLCHS volleyball team in kills, digs and aces as the Spartans earned a third-place finish in the school’s own tournament on Sept. 17.
As a result of her outstanding play on the court, she was named to the all-tournament team. The high school athletic department and Spartan Athlete Leadership Team -- who select “Athlete of the Week” recipents -- say she is a major reason why the team has opened the year with an impressive 12-2 record.
“Alli continues to dominate on the court,” said head coach Dennis McNamara. “She is a leader both vocally and by example. She is a vital part of our current season.”
Other Spartan Athlete of the Week nominees include: Mohammad Farraj (Boys Soccer), Jabari Clark (Football), Jade Ryerson (Girls Cross Country), and Jenna Cipriani (Girls Swim).
