OLHMS Performing Arts Sweep State Contests

Congratulations to Chorus, Jazz and Concert Band members for their Division I rating at the IGSMA State Competition.  

   "After receiving a 1st division rating at IGSMA District VI competition in March, the OLHMS Concert Chorus was invited to participate in IGSMA State Competition at Prairie View Middle School, Tinley Park, on April 26th, 2014.  The Chorus members sang beautifully and their hard work resulted in another 1st division rating for our school.  Congratulations on a job well done!"

The OLHMS Concert Band competed and took a Division I rating at Prairie View Middle School in Tinley Park on April 26, 2014:

    "I am so overwhelmingly proud of our young musicians for their fantastic achievements!  It's incredible to see their efforts supported with Division I ratings at both District and State organizational contests.  Many, many thanks to all the parents, staff and administration, and band students for all their support and incredible effort!!  Way to go!"

For the 4th straight year, the OLHMS Jazz Ensemble received a Division I rating at the IGSMA State Competition on May 3, 2014 at Joliet Junior College:

   "I am very  proud of our Jazz Ensemble's accomplishments this year.  We played some challenging music and were able to place first in State Contest for the 4th straight year."
