OAK LAWN, IL -- An Oak Lawn parolee was pulled over by police for illegally tinted windows, prosecutors said. Miguel Cruz, 35, appeared before Cook County Judge Terry Gallagher on a charge of driving on a revoked license. Cruz is currently on parole from the Illinois Department of Corrections for possession of cannabis and aggravated DUI.
Around 8:41 p.m. Jan. 4, the prosecutor said Oak Lawn police pulled Cruz over near 87th Street and Cicero. Officers determined that Cruz was driving on a revoked license, according to the charges. Cruz allegedly admitted that he did not have a license.
The prosecutor told the judge that Cruz has five felony convictions for aggravated DUI, manufacture and delivery of cannabis, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and two convictions for driving on a revoked license.
