Parolee Swipes Cologne, Discharges Stun Gun At Kohl's: Prosecutor
The 23-year-old parolee fired a stun gun inside the Burbank Kohl's when confronted by the loss prevention officer, prosecutor said.

BURBANK, IL -- A Chicago parolee shoplifting cologne pulled a stun gun when confronted by a Kohl’s loss prevention officer, prosecutors said. Trenton Davies, 23, appeared before Cook County Judge Michael Kane on felony charges of robbery and unlawful use of a weapon. Davies has been out on parole since September 2017.
Davies was seen allegedly swiping a cologne gift set around 7 p.m. Jan. 26 from the Burbank Kohl’s store at 76th Street and LaCrosse Avenue. When he was confronted by the loss prevention officer, Davies fired a stun gun, the prosecutor said. The loss prevention officer got scared and called 911. Burbank police stopped Davies, who still had the cologne set, outside the store, the prosecutor said. The stun gun was also reportedly recovered from the parking lot.
Davies is currently on parole from the Stateville Correctional Center where he had been serving four concurrent sentences for burglary, retail theft and theft, according to state records. The prosecutor said there is a corrections warrant currently out for Davies. The latest robbery charge is also likely to be upgraded to a Class X felony, she said.
