Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle Crossing Cicero Avenue in Oak Lawn
Oak Lawn police shut down several lanes of Cicero Avenue Sunday evening after a pedestrian was apparently struck by a vehicle.

OAK LAWN, IL — A section of Cicero Avenue was closed for several hours Sunday evening after a vehicle hit a pedestrian, according to Oak Lawn police. Officers were on the scene reconstructing the accident.
We are responding to the area of 10400 Cicero for a Vehicle vs. Pedestrian accident. There will be traffic issues due to the ongoing response and investigation.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. on Cicero Avenue near 104th Street. Witnesses reported crime scene tape stretched across the southbound lanes of Cicero Avenue. Numbered placards were also seen marking evidence in the street. The street was still blocked after midnight.
Photos and comments posted on neighborhood Facebook groups described shoes and other debris lying in the street. Oak Lawn police could not immediately be reached for comment. The pedestrian's condition is not known.
