Person Hit By Dump Truck on 87th Street Friday Afternoon

BURBANK, IL - A person was hit by a dump truck near 87th Street and 52nd Avenue Friday afternoon.

Police in both Oak Lawn and Burbank responded to the incident, which occurred on the Burbank side of 87th Street near Latrobe Ave., just after 2 p.m. Officers on the scene told Patch they believe the person was on a bike.

The scene was closed off with crime scene tape and a tarp was covering a body at 3 p.m. Witnesses indicated the tarp was placed there as early as 2:25 p.m.
