Physicians from Advocate Christ Make Chicago Magazine's Top Cancer Doctors List

OAK LAWN, IL -- Eight physicians from Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn made Chicago Magazine’s list of Top Cancer Doctors.

The list, featured in the magazine’s January 2017 edition, recognizes 385 exceptional physicians across the Chicago region who are nominated by their peers. While the physicians are listed in the magazine under only one hospital provider, many physicians are on staff at multiple Chicago-area hospitals.

The following physicians honored are on staff at Advocate Christ Medical Center:

Breast Cancer and Surgery
Barbara L. Krueger, MD -- Brachytherapy; prostate, breast, head and neck, kidney, lung, uterine cancer; prostate seed implantation.

Radiation Oncology
Jayant Ginde, MD - Brachytherapy; prostate, breast, head and neck, kidney, lung, uterine cancer; prostate seed implantation.

Medical Oncology
James Hannigan, MD -- Breast, colon and rectal cancer.
Jayanthi Ramadurai, MD -- Breast, lung, colon cancer.
Sybramanya Rao, MD -- Hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy, solid tumors.
Gary Steinecker, MD -- Cancer, internal medicine.
Warren Wong, MD -- Hematology, solid tumors.

Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery

Christopher H. Wigfield, MD -- Lung cancer, chest wall tumors, mediastinal tumors, lung transplant.
