OAK LAWN, IL -- The Oak Lawn Park District has unveiled plans for renovations at the Eagle Ridge Tot Lot playground. The project will feature new playground equipment, engineered wood fiber (mulch) safety surfacing, concrete playground curbing and other site improvements.

Existing playground equipment will be donated to Kids Around the World, which takes donated playgrounds, refurbishes them and re-installs them in impoverished areas around the world.

Construction at the Eagle Ridge Tot Lot, 5200 Tomcin Trail, is set to begin on Monday, May 20. During construction, patrons will need to access the path through the entrance at 107th Street and Long Avenue, as access from the playground to the walking trail will not be available. Project completion will be dependent on the weather, and is expected to wrap up in August.
