The Chicago woman told police that she had gone to the restaurant for dinner with another female friend. While dining, the Chicago woman spotted her ex-boyfriend dining with his new girlfriend.

Both women exchanged words and began throwing plates at each other, the manager told police. After the plate throwing, the ex-girlfriend and new girlfriend took the fight out to the parking lot, where the man was able to get his new girlfriend into his car and leave.

Police said that a patron got hit in the hand with a plate, but did wish to get involved and refused medical attention.

Further efforts by police to gain any information on the new girlfriend involved in the fracas were unsuccessful, reports said.

The manager did not wish to sign a complaint, but wanted to report the incident as a matter of record.

The ex-girlfriend and her friend were both advised not to return to the restaurant or they’d be arrested.
