Burbank, IL –December 20, 2013 – For the third year, Queen of Peace has partnered with Meals on Wheels for their holiday card drive. Because of the Meals on Wheels card drive, a card with holiday cheer is delivered along with the hot meal. Meals on Wheels provided blank holiday cards and the Queen of Peace community wrote warm holiday wishes on them.
The Queen of Peace president, Anne O’Malley, picked up the blank cards and brought the completed cards back to the Meals on Wheels office. The art club, run by art teacher Linda Vorderer, donated lovely hand-made cards. Our students took stacks of cards to their lunch table and wrote them all out during lunch. Faculty and staff at Queen of Peace took stacks of cards home and wrote them out while watching TV or during their free time.
The Meals on Wheels card drive is a great way for the Queen of Peace community to contribute holiday cheer.
