Burbank, IL –January 2, 2014 – The weekend of December 6 - 8, 25 seniors from Queen of Peace participated in Veritas XX. The weekend retreat offered to seniors and select juniors (in the spring) was lead exclusively by Queen of Peace Veritas Retreat Alumnae. The mission of Veritas is to strengthen the Spiritual foundation of Catholic young adults in Christ while building a faith community of support. The weekend consists of talks, music and activities focused on recognizing the role God plays in our everyday life.
The alum co-directors of the retreat were Ania Dron '10 and Tiffani Monreal '10. The other leaders were Katie Gooday '09, Katie Miller '12, Alexandra Bochenek '12, and Bridget McCormick '13.
The 6 alum leaders volunteered their time to come back to Peace and pass on the message of Veritas. In addition to the 6 alum leaders, former Campus Minister Kathleen Greenan, current English teacher and PDC Director Catherine Klod, and current Counselor frosh/soph Ashley Dick were in attendance as Adult Leaders. Heather Saylor was the Retreat Director for the first time.
