OAK LAWN, IL — Oak Lawn’s rebooted fall frolic kicks off this weekend, Sept. 9 through Sept. 10, featuring 15 bands for the first Oak Lawn Music Fest, 95th Street and Cook Avenue. Admission is FREE.

Made safe from fighting preteens and bouncy houses, this music fest is an age 21+ event; anyone younger needs to be accompanied by an adult. The fest offers three days of the Chicago area’s most popular bands, including local favorites and some bands new to Oak Lawn, playing on three stages.

Presented by the Oak Lawn Arts and Events Committee, the music fest offers more music and trendy food trucks, in addition to food tents.

“I am very happy with the changes that the arts and events committee and I introduced,” said 3rd District Tr. Paul Mallo said, chair of the arts and events committee. “We kept all the great parts of Fall On The Green and introduced more safety elements like a fence around the perimeter and more security.”

Designated charities benefitting from the music fest include Live Like Abby, Park Lawn and the COURAGE program.
