Recently Paroled Murderer Nabbed in Controlled Drug Buy: Prosecutor
Burbank man registered on Illinois Murderer and Violence Against Youth Registry was paroled last month, records say.
BURBANK, IL -- A recently paroled murderer was arrested after Chicago Ridge police found drugs under his car hood during a controlled drug buy, prosecutors said.
Trinidad Botello, 42, of Burbank, appeared before Cook County Judge Donald Havis on charges of possession of a controlled substance and cannabis with intent to deliver. He is currently out on parole.
The prosecutor said that Botello arranged to sell two grams of cocaine to a confidential source in Worth on March 26. After the alleged transaction was completed, Chicago Ridge police officers moved in to arrest Botello. Officers found two bags of cocaine and cannabis under the hood of his car, the prosecutor said.

Botello, of the 6300 block West 83rd Street, was serving a 37-year sentence for murder, burglary and possession of a stolen motor vehicle all occurring in 1997. He was paroled on March 3. His parole is set to be discharged in 2018, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The Illinois Murderer and Violence Against Youth Registry indicates Botello was 22 and his victim 17 at the time of his offense.

Bail was set at $150,000. Botello is due back in court April 24 in Bridgeview.
