OAK LAWN, IL—Reilly’s Daughter in Oak Lawn has extended the deadline to purchase T-shirts commemorating fallen Chicago Firefighter/EMT Michael “Mickey” Altman, who died in the line of duty earlier this month.

Southsiders have stepped up in a big way, purchasing over 2,000 T-shirts, and are still taking online orders. The store will be open through 11:59 p.m. April 5. The online store includes short- and long-sleeved shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies at the Reilly’s Daughter online store. All sizes are available.

“Orders already placed will ship by the end of the week, but please like and share so we can reach as many people as possible, raising as much money as we can for the family!,” the bar said on Facebook.

One-hundred percent of proceeds will be given directly to the fallen firefighter’s family, who was married with a young son and a baby girl on the way.

An invitation-only service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, after last week’s funeral mass was postponed when CFD Altman’s wife, Nora, went into labor the day of her husband’s visitation, giving birth to a baby girl. The couple also has a toddler son.
