Richards 'Pie Fight' Raises Funds For Ronald McDonald House
Winners of the pie-in-the-face contest grimaced and smiled as Rotary Interact Club members plastered them with pastry in Pi Day fundraiser.
OAK LAWN, IL — Some brave souls from Richards High School ‘faced’ down their fears recently to take one for a great team. With hordes of students cheering, the winners of the pie-in-the-face competition grimaced and smiled as Rotary Interact Club members plastered them with pastry.
The annual fund raiser raised $600 for Ronald McDonald House, the facility adjacent to Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital providing free lodging and meals for families of pediatric patients.
“We truly appreciate your efforts on our behalf. I can’t believe how much money you raised,” said RMH Manager of Family Services Caitlin Nelson to Rotary Interact Club students.
