Richards Jazz Ensemble to play Arts Extravaganza; video from last year at link
Group was one of 8 in Illinois asked to play state educators conference
Jazz Ensemble, one of just eight bands selected to play the annual Illinois Music Educators Association conference this year, from Richards High School will perform at Arts Extravaganza on Saturday, April 9 at 5:45 p.m. at Eisenhower High School.
Eisehower is located at 12700 S. Sacramento Avenue in Blue Island, one block east of Kedzie Avenue. Arts Extravaganza runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
This event celebrates the arts -- band, choir, dance, orchestra, speech, drama, culinary, visual -- like none other. Admission is just $10 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under and senior citizens and includes great food.

The District 218 Education Foundation organizes this event as a fund raiser for college scholarships and teacher grants. The event includes performances and art by students from Eisenhower, Richards and Shepard high schools.
