Ulyssa Garcia Defends Regional Crown As Richards Girls Varsity Bowling Moves To Sectionals
Richards senior Ulyssa Garcia leads Bulldogs to back-to-back regional championship as the team advances to IHSA sectionals.
OAK LAWN, IL — Richards High School's girls varsity bowling team won the regional crown Feb. 6, winning back-to-back regional championships in the South Suburban Conference Red division. Senior Ulyssa Garcia also successfully defended her regional championship individual title.
The regional was held at Arena Lanes in Oak Lawn, where 14 teams battled it out to keep their IHSA playoff hopes alive. The Bulldogs shot the highest game of the day out of all the teams, with a 973.

The sectionals will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, at Bowlero, 1555 75th St., Woodridge. The first game starts at 9 a.m. Teams will bowl six games in the morning and three in the afternoon.
The Bulldogs have a decent chance to qualify as a team and advance to the IHSA finals.
