OAK LAWN, IL — Dist. 218 officials want to give Richards High School’s senior class the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. Richards enacted its remote learning plan earlier this month after schools were closed to slow the spread of coronavirus. The last day of remote learning for seniors is May 8. There will be no final exams for seniors.

A traditional graduation ceremony will be held between July 6 and July 11. In the event social distancing mandates do not allow a large gathering to be safely conducted, the district will explore alternative plans. The senior awards ceremony will also be included in the graduation program.

Prom has also been postponed. The high school is working on securing a summer date and venue for prom.
