Richards varsity girls bowling team 7th at state finals

A season of achievement closes with a Top 10 finish

The Richards High School varsity girls bowling team closed a season of consistent achievement by placing seventh overall at the IHSA state finals this weekend.

Senior Peyton Attig, who’s signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (ranked #9 in the nation) led Richards by placing in 23rd at the state finals in Rockford. Senior Alexandra Wozniak, who's signed a National Letter of Intent with St. Xavier University, took 38th place.

Richards produced a remarkable season. They won first place at the Rich East, Reavis, and Hinsdale Central invitationals during the regular season. Then the team won the South Suburban Conference championship.

Finally, the team excelled in the post-season. They won their IHSA Regional, took second at their sectional, and took seventh place overall in Illinois.
