Bandit Hits Oft-Robbed US Bank Branch In Burbank: Police
US Bank branch in Burbank robbed third time in less than a year. Robber hits bank Tuesday afternoon, police say.

BURBANK, IL -- The FBI and Burbank police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon. The heist is being described a non-takeover robbery. No gun was displayed..
According to Burbank police, a man walked into the US Bank branch at 5440 W. 87th St. around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. The purported bandit handed a note to an employee stating he had a gun and would shoot. Witnesses told police they did not see a gun. The robber was handed an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen on foot heading westbound along 87th Street.
The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, around 5-feet-9-inches tall, with a thin mustache and braided shoulder-length hair. He was wearing a scarf and possible a Northface jacket. The suspect’s picture has not yet been posted on the FBI-run Bankrobbers site. Anyone with information, such as seeing an unfamiliar car parked on their street or who has knowledge about the robbery, is asked to call the Burbank Police Department at 708-924-7300 or the FBI’s Chicago office at 312-421-6700.

The US Bank branch has been robbed at least twice before. On Oct. 26, a man wearing a gold cap robbed the bank, and was seen by witnesses running through residential neighborhoods. In April 2016, Burbank Beat reported a robber menacing bank employees with a metal pipe before fleeing with unknown amount of money.
